Weaving Better Futures

In a dynamic and complex world, we are developing empowered, resilient and adaptable organisations and systems by weaving together economic strategy and foresight with organisational transformations.

What we weave

Weavin are leaders in wellbeing economics, complex policy, strategy and foresight

Weavin works with your organisation to have the foresight to step into the uncertain futures and embed adaptive learning cultures into your organisations

Weavin applies tools from systems thinking, design thinking to work with you through your most challenging questions and deliver resilient solutions, tailored to your context. We utilise cross-disciplinary expertise to develop and implement frameworks, policies and tools to navigate organisations through the ambiguity.

Where is the world going?

What does this mean for my industry?

The outward weave

Macroeconomic strategy, foresight and wellbeing

Weavin has a history of delivering innovative strategic economic reports for state and national governments in Australia and New Zealand. This includes:

  • Multiple Intergenerational Reports - presenting 40 year economic and fiscal projections and scenarios reflecting changing social and environmental trends.

  • ‘World first’ government publications including New Zealand’s first “Wellbeing Budget” and NSW Treasury’s publication on the 40 year economic and fiscal risks of climate change and the energy transition.

We help you lean into the future uncertainty, your strategic challenges and opportunities, and identify what it means for organisations and governments.

We deliver economic strategies, wellbeing and outcomes frameworks, foresight processes, industry and system analysis

How can my organisation innovate through change?

What leadership strategies should I be implementing?

Weavin has a history which connects back to leading the world’s first Wellbeing Budget, designing legislature and strategic innovations, and resilience strategies across public sector and NGOs, designing and facilitating the 2019 Sydney University MBA innovation unit, and releasing a major organisation first ever publication in its indigenous language.

We support your organisation to implement internal and system changes required to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

We deliver business and system sustainability and resilience reports, crisis response programs, and support in house innovation units or programs.

The inward weave

Organisational and system innovation, transformation and resilience

Beyond COVID-19

Government agencies and businesses are still adapting and weaving out of their COVID-19 response into their future. Their effectiveness will depend on the capacity of the organisation’s leaders to navigate through the ambiguity. This means:

  • With limited information, recognising the new context of the changed situation, understanding how it may evolve, and foresighting how various futures would impact the business.

  • Acting decisively in response to the context, and implementing more flexible and responsive business models that are fit for purpose for today.

  • Delivering innovative products and offerings in line with the organisations purpose and the needs of stakeholders, whilst mitigating risks.

Where the weaving begins

WORK STARTS WITH PEOPLE, PLACE, THEN PURPOSE

The foundations of sustainable and resilient organisations are it’s people, it’s place and it’s purpose. This is not a new concept. In fact, it predates Western thinking. People are the heart of the organisation. Without them, there is no organisation. Place signifies the context of where you are working, and what has come before you, and what is around you. Purpose is your why, your reason for doing the work, and from which all your strategic decisions should be grounded.

The threads we weave

Weavin work with your people, in your context, to clearly define the purpose of the work. We then begin the Weave process to deliver innovative, resilient and sustainable results.
